Just 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, Snow Mountain is often considered the course to play at the 54-hole Paiute Resort, and with good reason. It starts with a par 3 to a peninsula green at No. 16, works to a tough par 5 at No. 17 and finishes with a par 4 that seems to wrap itself around a lake as much as dogleg left it at No. 18. It’s truly an amazing set of holes that finish of a superb day of golf.
With incredibly scenic views of Sin City as well as the mountains, Snow Mountain will dazzle players from the first hole, however. And with impeccable conditioning and brilliant service, you’ll see why the Snow Mountain Course at Paiute Golf Resort is a must play for those that make Las Vegas their No. 1 golf destination.
At Paiute Golf Resort, players have a choice of three Pete Dye-designed courses in this 54-hole golf wonderland. And while Snow Mountain and the Wolf Course get raves for their difficulty of play, there are many who will quickly agree that Sun Mountain is easily the most scenic of the three golf courses.
GolfDigest Best Places to PlayGreenskeeper Best Value Sun Mountain is the largely forgotten golf course of the trio, but golf packagers still get plenty of traveling golfers looking to take their swings at this brilliant Dye design. Here you get the best of both worlds – brilliant scenery without the usual Dye scorecard savagery. The looks to the mountains can be stunning. The blue water in the man-made lakes glistens in the afternoon sun. The Joshua trees are memorable. It all makes for a fantastic round of golfer against nature.
Sun Mountain’s great scenery and relatively forgiving nature make it popular with groups and others looking to have a memorable round of golf in Las Vegas, one of the nation’s great golf destinations. Meticulous conditioning makes it even more of a draw, along with the famous service that players receive at Paiute Golf Resort. From the clubhouse to the final hole, you’ll quickly see why Sun Mountain is one of Paiute Golf resort’s, and Las Vegas’s surprises.
Coming in at an amazing 7,604 yards from the tips, the Wolf Course at Paiute Golf Resort will have golfers wondering what hit them. Luckily, with several sets of tees, its a course where high-handicapper can play alongside scratch golfer, but for golfers looking for a challenge, famed golf architect Pete Dye has given them just that.
GolfDigest Best Places to PlayGreenskeeper Best Value With the Wolf Course, Dye truly unleashes his full set of skills, taking advantage of desert mystique, combined with the ringing mountains that change color throughout the course of a round, to somehow merge a mercurial round of golf with a moving desert experience. It is desert golf of the highest order at the Wolf Course, and locals and travelers are making sure to take their own bite out of the Wolf at this World-Class golf destination.
But aside from the challenges that await at this often ruthless course, players will enjoy the immaculate conditioning, as well as the quality service that Paiute Golf Resort has become famous for over the years.
So when checking with your golf packager, make sure to get a round in at the Wolf Course – if you feel brave enough to tackle Pete Dye’s toughest run.
