We’re in Bordeaux, a 10-minute walk from the downtown area with its museums, shops, and restaurants. Mériadeck shopping mall is a 10-minute walk from us, and Bordeaux Saint Jean railway station is four kilometers away. Relax at our bar or host your next event in our meeting space.
Everything is covered in a blanket of snow. Sounds are hushed; there are no cars to disturb the peace. A small porch, a wooden door, a discreet brass plate. The Monte Rosa is not an ostentatious hotel; it is a hotel of small gestures. You step into the warm. A sense of well-being wraps itself around you like a warm coat. A welcoming smile greets you. You return the smile. You have arrived.
Can a hotel have charisma? The Monte Rosa without a doubt. The original foundation walls from 1839 exude the courage of the first mountaineers, the décor and furnishings the lustre of the belle époque. Again and again that magical moment overcomes you as another door opens onto the past.
Five generations separate us from Alexander Seiler, the pioneering hotelier who took over a simple wooden chalet more than 160 years ago and under the name of Monte Rosa transformed it into one of the best hotels in the Alps. “Be good to your guests” was his maxim, and it has been handed down from generation to generation. To this day, this seemingly so simple phrase has lost none of its meaning or force.

In the heart of Toulouse, our hotel will provide you with a bubble of oxygen in a green setting. Come and discover our heritage and visit the city of aeronautics.
Toulouse owes its nickname of “pink city” to the use of brick. Brick, known as “foraine” in Midi toulousain, has perpetuated an ancient heritage right up to the present day. It dresses the facades in warm colours, from the softest pink to flamboyant orange.
Over the past two thousand years, Toulouse has been invaded, besieged, burned, occupied and liberated. The seat of the Visigoth kingdom, the Cathar City, the crossroads of the woad trade, the cradle of airmail, the capital of aeronautics… so many events that have shaped its streets, its monuments and the identity of its inhabitants. Let’s look back at some of these milestones.
Even today, the history and the monuments, who forged the city as we know it today, make it shine on the international stage.
The city’s emblematic monuments include the Capitole, Saint-Sernin Basilica, Jacobin Convent, Hôtel d’Assézat, Canal du Midi and the banks of the Garonne.
