It’s around the village of Farellones that Valle Nevado, La Parva and El Colorado lie, the three prime resort locations in Chili.
The El Colorado Ski Center was opened in 1948 and is the oldest in Chili. Today it is also the largest winter resort nationwide. The volume of skiers who visit and its installed capacity to meet this demand, are the result of sustained and consistent growth.
The El Colorado Ski Resort has 1,300 hectares, including Farellones tracks, the first village and founder of the ski mountain in the 3 valleys. The constant work in our field has given us a result of 78 ski tracks, totaling about 52 310 meters.
Today, El Colorado has 4 ski school, 3 mini schools, 4 hits, 20 lifts, 8 restaurants and also the widest snow park in South America. It retains its mystique and loyal customers who intensely live the “Passion for the mountains”.
The Colorado has the widest number of skiers, receiving approximately 165,000 day-skiers in a season, as it has the largest number of ski lifts and slopes, including its huge snow park. El Colorado is a warm, young people and family ski resort.
Suspended on the mountainside of the Andes high above the city of Santiago, La Parva is the most exclusive, family-oriented and unique ski resort in Chile. The beautifully harmonious architecture and the long silhouettes of the ski runs are visible from the center of the capital city.
The breathtaking sunsets witnessed from the balconies of condos and houses transform La Parva into the true paradise of winter sports and relaxation.
La Parva is situated 2,750 meters (9,022 feet) above sea level and is less than 50 kilometers (30 miles) from Santiago, the capital of Chile.
This small mountain town now has modern buildings clinging to its hills. Over 1000 houses and condominiums can accommodate 7000 people at any one time during the ski season so that athletes and families may enjoy the mountain.
