LOS CABOS
Golf capital of Mexico
Situated at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, at the place where the Sea of Cortes meets the Pacific Ocean, Los Cabos boasts an extraordinary mountain-desert-ocean environment where golf’s top designers have crafted a dozen courses set back from the shoreline’s sun-drenched beaches and turquoise-blue waters. Led by a superb array of resort hotels and complemented by some of the best sport fishing in the world, Los Cabos has in the span of 20 years established itself as a premier getaway for avid golfers in search of an unforgettable experience.
The masterful Tom Weiskopf design takes full advantage of incredible natural surroundings while incorporating an enticing blend of par fours ranging from the teasingly short 329 yard, downhill fourth to the intimidating, into the wind 480 yard thirteenth. Highlighted by the panoramic ocean views on every hole Weiskopf calls The Desert Course “one of the most scenic courses” he has designed, citing the “natural beauty of the desert, mountain and ocean” as “an ideal setting and some of the best terrain for golf anywhere in the world.” Ranked by Golf Digest as high as #5 in Mexico, The Desert Course takes you on a scenic thrill ride as it winds its way through lush desert landscape and canyon-like arroyos high above The Ocean Course and the Sea of Cortez.
The Ocean Course is described by course designer Jack Nicklaus as “the best golf property I’ve ever seen.” This 18-hole, award-winning course is one of the few courses in the world that offers dramatic views of mountain, desert and sea. Located at the tip of the Baja peninsula along the 20-mile Corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, The Ocean Course is the centerpiece of the 1,800-acre residential resort community of Cabo del Sol.
Nicklaus’ second Signature course in Mexico, The Ocean Course capitalizes on the beauty and landscape of Los Cabos, stretching for more than a mile across some of the most breathtaking and awe-inspiring terrain in the Western Hemisphere. The Ocean Course is poised against a magnificent backdrop that contrasts the emerald green turf with the brilliant blue of the Sea of Cortez. A dramatic layout places seven holes along the coastline of craggy rock outcroppings ascending from golden, sun-washed shores.
Praised by Nicklaus for having the “three finest holes in golf,” The Ocean Course is framed by natural desert landscape, with giant cardon cacti towering over perfectly manicured greens and tees. On the signature 17th hole, golfers must tee off from a cliff top and carry their ball over a sandy cove to a green surrounded by rock outcroppings from the Sea of Cortez. The par-four 18th hole doglegs from left to right and follows the curve of the shoreline to a large oceanside green.
Designed to provide the ultimate in playing strategy and beauty, The Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol course makes for an extraordinary golf experience for all levels of players. The superb layout of the course allows for golfers to use each club in their bag from any of the five sets of tees.

Puerto Los Cabos features a rare composite design by two of the sport’s most legendary figures. At present, the club features two distinctive nines designed by Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus. Both layouts are etched into rolling desert foothills backdropped by the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, with all 18 holes perched high above the Sea of Cortes, the pristine coastline and the resort’s marina.
The Mission Course, a 3,590-yard, par 36 creation by Norman that serves as the front nine and will one day function as a private club reserved for community homeowners, has over 400 feet of elevation change. With its large, flashed-faced bunkers used to signpost the fairways and defend the greens, the layout reveals Norman’s fondness for Australia’s classic Sandbelt courses.
The club’s 3,871-yard, par 37 Marina Course, by Jack Nicklaus, features rippling fairways, undulating greens and sculpted bunkers. Intended to be the resort course at the development, the Marina Course skirts the new Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort and brings players to the sea at the beachside par-3 15th hole, its target a tiny green tucked in the dunes. Amazingly, all of the holes on both nines at Puerto Los Cabos offer expansive panoramic views of the coastline and sea.
Situated at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, Quivira Golf Club, routed along sheer cliffs, windswept dunes and desert foothills, is a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course unlike any other in Mexico.
With views of the Pacific from all 18 holes, Quivira offers more oceanfront exposure than any other course in Los Cabos. The well-strategized layout, with four tee placements ranging from 7,224 to 4,731 yards* (par 72), starts at sea level, scales cliffs 200 feet above the surf, spans canyons and arroyos, meanders through dunes and desert, and returns to the sea at the finish.
