With meticulously maintained fairways and immaculate greens, this masterpiece provides tournament conditions every day. Newly opened in November 2006, this Tom Watson Signature course is highlighted by manmade waterfalls, babbling brooks and veneered field stone work. The course offers dramatic, undulating greens not commonly found on Florida golf courses and encompasses approximately 140 acres, making it about 40 acres larger than the average golf course. The signature hole is number 8, a picturesque island green. The 18th hole, featuring a tee box at an elevation of almost 100 feet, offers a breathtaking, panoramic view of close to the entire course. The Conservatory is currently rated the longest and hardest course in the state of Florida, also boasting the highest slope rating in the state.
The Ocean Course, a Jack Nicklaus Signature design, is Florida’s first oceanfront course since the 1920’s and offers a perfect blend of fun and challenge for players of all levels. Referred to as “The Pebble Beach of the East Coast”, the Ocean Course is one of Nicklaus’ most challenging designs and boasts six holes overlooking the ocean, including a magnificent 468-yard, par 4 finishing hole that is truly breathtaking. Nicklaus has also dubbed the final four holes here as the Bear’s Claw, and they are considered to be among the world’s most memorable finishing holes.
